The 2027 Graduate Admission Application Guide for International Students of Tsinghua University has been officially released today. Thank you for your interest in Tsinghua!
The Graduate Admissions Office would like to bring the following important points to your attention:
I. The Application System Is Not Yet Open
The Tsinghua University Graduate Application System (https://yzbm.tsinghua.edu.cn) has not yet opened the 2027 application portal for international students. Please wait patiently; the system is expected to be accessible from mid‑September 2026 to February 2027. In the meantime, we strongly recommend that you start preparing your application materials based on the newly released application guide, so that you will be ready to submit as soon as the system opens.
II. Application Deadlines and Rounds Vary by Department and Program
The application deadlines and rounds for international graduate students differ by department/school and by program—they are not uniform across the university. Therefore, please be sure to check The Catalog of Doctoral/Master's Programs for International Students 2027 at the following link, according to the program(s) you plan to apply for:

On this page, each department/school will specify its own application deadlines and rounds in the "Remarks of Application" section. Please pay close attention to the start and end dates for your specific program of interest.
III. The 2027 Program Catalog Is Being Updated Gradually
The Catalog of Doctoral/Master's Programs for International Students 2027 is currently undergoing maintenance. From early September to early October, program listings from different departments/schools will be updated and published on a rolling basis. You can always check the same link:

If the program you wish to apply for is not yet displayed, please do not worry—check back in a few days, as more departments will be added progressively.
IV. List of English‑Taught Graduate Programs
For applicants who have no Chinese language proficiency, we recommend reviewing the list of English‑taught graduate programs at Tsinghua:

Currently, Tsinghua offers 9 English‑taught doctoral programs and 28 English‑taught master's programs. In addition, most doctoral programs in science and engineering are also conducted in English. Please check the list to see if there is a program that matches your interests.
V. For Applicants Applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship
If you intend to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship, we strongly suggest that you complete your online application by Mid‑December (First‑Round Deadline), 2026, to ensure your eligibility for scholarship evaluation and avoid missing the deadline.
VI. Regarding Program Preferences (Two Choices)
Each applicant may indicate up to two program preferences for the current admission cycle, but these two choices are not ranked equally (not parallel) . You are required to submit your first preference first. Only after your first preference is not admitted will the system automatically open the second preference for submission. Therefore, we advise you to focus your preparation efforts primarily on the materials for your first preference.
