Overview

  Department of Precision Instrument at Tsinghua University, derived from Department of Mechanical Engineering, founded in 1932, is one of the oldest engineering departments in China. There are two key disciplines in the department, Optical Engineering and Instrument Science and Technology. The department has scientific research platforms such as State Key Laboratory of Precision Measurement Technology and Instruments, State Key Laboratory of Precision Space-time Information Sensing Technology, and has gained outstanding academic achievements and bravely climbed to the academic summit towards the major needs of the country and the forefront of science and technology.
