Founded in 1984, Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) has a mission "to advance knowledge and cultivate leaders for China and the world"; aspires "to be a world-class school of economics and management"; and holds "integrity, dedication and respect" as its core values. For 37 years, Tsinghua SEM has led the nation in talent training, scientific research, social influence and international exchange, and strove to become a world-class school of economics and management.

——Master of Finance (Discipline Name: Master of Finance)
The Master of Finance (MoF) program at the School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Tsinghua University trains top-notch financial professionals, and cultivates future financial leaders with advanced knowledge in economics and finance. Students develop a global vision for rapidly changing financial markets. The program prepares students for careers in regulation, research, investment banking, securities modeling and trading, and corporate finance.
The Master of Finance Program have participated in the Financial Times Masters in Finance Ranking since 2017. In 2022, the program ranked 7th worldwide and 1st in Asia.
——Master in Management (Discipline Name: Business Administration)
Targeting pre-experienced undergraduates, the Master in Management (MiM) program strives to develop students’ leadership, general management and analytical skills, preparing them for key managerial and leadership positions within corporations, government and non-profit organizations. A large and increasing proportion of the courses are taught in English.
Tsinghua SEM is the only CEMS member school in Chinese Mainland. Tsinghua MiM students have exclusive access to the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) program and students who successfully complete the CEMS curriculum will receive a CEMS diploma, in addition to a diploma and a master’s degree in Management from Tsinghua University. In recognition of outstanding student satisfaction for the academic quality, administration service, and student activities offered by the program, Tsinghua SEM was awarded “CEMS School of the Year 2017-2018”.
Besides the CEMS MIM program, MiM students can also apply for and enroll in the Tsinghua SEM-HEC MiM Dual Degree Program.
Tsinghua MiM is a 2-3 year full-time program. Students will spend their first year at Tsinghua, and the second year at other CEMS schools, or at HEC Paris for the Dual Degree program. As a practice-oriented program, Tsinghua SEM MiM program offers a portfolio of practice courses that are rich with both theoretical knowledge and practical know-how, and abundant learning-by-doing opportunities.
——TCMiBA (Discipline Name: Management Science and Engineering)
The Tsinghua– Columbia Dual Master’s Degree Program in Business Analytics (TCMiBA), implemented by Tsinghua SEM and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University is the first dual master’s program in this field between China and U.S. top universities.
The program aims to develop interdisciplinary talent in the fields of management theory and cutting-edge information technology, with an emphasis on global vision and strong business analytical skills. It is also an international education pioneer geared towards industry practice in developing an interdisciplinary education system that integrates data science and management theory. The program focuses on big data application in management, improving knowledge base in data analytics and modeling and enhancing management skills. This unique and forward-looking interdisciplinary approach will help nurture the future leaders of this century. Students who have successfully completed the program will receive a diploma and a master’s degree in management from Tsinghua University and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University.
TCMiBA is a full-time program that usually takes 2-3 years to complete. Students admitted to the dual degree program will study at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, for the first year, and through an expedited application process, enroll and study at Columbia University in New York, USA, for the second year.
——Tsinghua University-Singapore Management University MCFO & MPAcc Dual Degree Program
The School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University cooperated with the School of Accounting of Singapore Management University establishing a joint dual-degree master’s program in accounting started in 2017. The design of the program focuses on improving the overall capacity of financial leaders, reshaping their knowledge structure of financial management, and equipping them a comprehensive understanding of financial knowledge with an aim to develop financial management leaders with global perspective.
The program is part-time and the expected length of study is 2 years. Applicants with bachelor’s degree shall have a minimum of five years of working experience, or with master’s degree shall have a minimum of three years of working experience. The courses span across three major modules of accounting, finance, and management to comprehensively improve financial knowledge and management skills.
——Global MBA (Discipline Name: Master of Business Administration)
The Tsinghua Global MBA Program is an English-taught, full-time MBA program. It was established in partnership with MIT Sloan School of Management since 1997. It is tailored for future leaders who aspire to propel their careers onto the global stage while maintaining a focus on China. The Tsinghua Global MBA Program is distinguished by its world-class learning experience, high-caliber global student body, and unrivaled access to the best resources in China.

——Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree Executive MBA Programme
The Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree EMBA Programme (also known as “TIEMBA”) is jointly launched by the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University and INSEAD in 2006. Combining international business education with a focus on Asia, the joint programme is designed for executives and professional managers worldwide, especially for those from the Asia Pacific region.
As a unique, modular, dual-degree program for experienced executives, the TIEMBA program seeks to offer participants the best of both institutions, one of China’s premier school of economics and management and one of the world’s top business schools.
